I’m sick in bed and decided to watch my favorite movie of all times, Moulin Rouge. This movie preaches live and it’s importance and tells a tale of love and loss.
The problem is I grew up with this and many more like it showing me an interpretation of love that was too exaggerated. What they don’t show is how hard work a relationship is and how much effort each person has to put in for it to hopefully be successful, and even then, it’s impossibly difficult.
I wish they made more movies that showed or encased what a real relationship is like without the dramatics and false hopes. Movies like this make hopeless romantics hopeful.
Have you ever felt this way about a movie, even if you love it?
